4.Bukchon Hanok Village 북촌한옥마을

_Residential Area of Joseon’s Upper Class 

This is an actual residential area where traditional Korean houses called “hanok” have been well-preserved for over 600 years. Many historic and cultural sites and folklore materials can still be seen throughout the village, making it a very valuable “street museum.” Today, many hanoks have been renovated into restaurants, cafes, galleries and guesthouses.

5.Hanyangdoseong 한양도성

_the Seoul City Wall and its 600 Years

It was built along the four mountains surrounding the capital city of the Joseon Dynasty, Hanyang(Today’s Seoul). Among city walls in the world, Hanyangdoseong served its purpose for the longest period of time(1396-1910;514years). It has four main gates (Heunginjimun, Donuimun, Sungnyemun and Sukjeongmun)and four sub-gate. Walking trails along the wall offer great views of the cithy, and there are many cultural heritage sites long the trails.

6. Dongdaemun Fashion Town 동대문 패션 타운

_A Shopping District of Seoul Open 24 Hours

With major shopping malls like Doota and Migliore, this shopping district of Seoul selcomes shoppers all day long. The latest fashion trends, as well as original designs by young desighners can be seen and purchased here. Also in the area is the Dongdaemun Design Plaza(DDP), a major cultural complex designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. DDP hosts a great number of events including the annual Seoul Fashion Week in March and October.
