This square is located on Sejong-ro, a major street in the 600-year-old capital city of Seoul. To locals,

23. seoul city hall  서울 시청

The uniquely designed glass building Constructed in front of the former city hall, which has been
renovated into the Seoul Metropolitan Library, is the new City Hall. At Seoul Plaza in front of the City
Hall, a great number of events are held throughout the year, and during winter, the grass lawn is
transformed into an ice skating rink.
